It's kind of easy to do, really. It's just a matter of determining perspective from two different view points (from both your eyes, actually). It's near impossible to do by hand, but it's easy to line up different layers in Photoshop or whatever (And just make sure their colors correspond to what lenses you're using).
It's actually kind of easier with photography than flat, 2D things like this. D;
Take my word for it. If you had the right glasses, you'd be shitting yourself right now. It's that beautiful!
